A friend of mine wanted a Haïda totem after discovering their culture in a firsthand approach and having avatars selected for him through their rituals. The Haïda are a tribe of natives, whose territory lies mainly in America, but also expands into Canada. They live on the western coast and attribute a great deal of importance to linking one's personality to animals and their perceived traits. The friend in question chose the designs himself, and they are in no way related to the art which the Haïda produce themselves. Here is a crow, followed by a wolf and a fox.
